Register:                 Pre-register by October 26thth and be bracketed in Kata in the bottom half of the  eliminations.  

                                  Registration:  8:00a.m.  - all day,  Rules meetings: 10:30a.m.

 

Location:                Ruston High School Gym - Ruston, La  (1 block E. off Tech Dr., behind the Lambright Intramural Complex)

 

Entry Fee:               $35 for 1 or 2 events, weapons additional $5 - NO CHECKS, $5 discount with USKA membership.  NO REFUNDS.  

                                 Chanbara - additional $10 for beautiful custom  medallions ( $20 if only division entered)

 

Spectators:           Spectators $5,  Ringside-$7 ( under 6 years old - free)

 

Rules:                     U.S. Karate Alliance tournament rules:  No face contact (below adult brown  belt), 2min/3  pts win (below adult black belt), 2min/5 pts win (adult black) Required Equipment:  Traditional uniforms (sleeves past elbows), Foam safety  equipment - head hands, feet & mouthpiece, Groin protector-all males.

 

Trophies:               Individual & team trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd  places. Custom medals for 4th place. 

                                Medals will be awarded  to all children kata competitors.
